THERE IS NOTHING TO SHOW THAT TINUBU LED GOVERNMENT IS READY TO SOLVE NIGERIA PROBLEM - ATIKU

By: Kingsley O. Bayode

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, has issued a scathing critique of the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu. In a statement released through his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, Atiku expressed his disappointment and frustration with the government's handling of the country's affairs.

Atiku lamented that the administration seems to be oblivious to the suffering of Nigerians, noting that if they had not realized the enormity of the situation by now, it means they were not prepared to govern from the outset. He emphasized that the government's inability to address the country's challenges is a clear indication of their lack of readiness to lead.

The former Vice President highlighted the economic challenges facing the country, including the recession, nepotism, and corruption, which he believes have worsened under the current administration. He noted that the economy went into recession twice under the previous APC administration due to their lack of understanding of economic principles.

Atiku also criticized the government's handling of the Dangote Refinery project, questioning whether foreign interests are involved in sabotaging the investment. He noted that the previous administration invested $20 billion in the project, with the expectation that it would meet domestic needs and generate foreign exchange for development. However, he expressed disappointment that the project has not yielded the expected results.

Furthermore, Atiku expressed concern about the security situation in the country, noting that farmers are still unable to return to their farms due to insecurity. He questioned how the cost of basic food items can come down when farmers are not able to produce.

Atiku's statement suggests that the current administration is not equipped to address Nigeria's problems, and that the country is experiencing a worsening of the issues that existed under the previous administration. He emphasized the need for effective governance to address the suffering of Nigerians and stimulate economic growth.
